History
Balticon was established 20 years ago as a project of several visionaries.
1991/07/19 – Registering a limited-liability Balticon company
1991 – Launching the first container depot in Gdynia
1997 – Starting a new activity – container trade
1999 – Setting up a depot at the Gdańsk Container Terminal
2000 – Launching refrigeration container service
2001 – Establishing a depot in Szczecin. Balticon depot locations cover all sea ports already.
2001 – Purchasing an own depot in Gdynia
2002 – Beginning transportation activities
2003 – Obtaining the ISO 9001 : 2001 certificate
2009 – Opening a depot in Gdańsk at the back support area at the Deepwater Container Terminal
2010/09/24 – Registration turning Balticon into a joint-stock company
BALTICON S.A. employs at present around 100 people. It is a company conducting its market activities in an international environment.
All three divisions – Depot, Trade and Transportation – fall under the ISO certificate and have been container-oriented since the very beginning.
